Self-test
Please review the self test below and if you can answer yes to most of the questions your site may be ready to apply.
1. You want visitors to respect your site as much as you, so linking to sites that are not family safe. Is your site free of any nudity, vulgarity, racism, or hatred viewing will end a evaluation?
2. Since I prefer to evaluate family safe sites does your site have "family safe content" as explained in the criteria?
3. 404 errors, blank pages, under construction messages, or coming-soon signs are obsolete. I understood that a good website is always being updated and worked upon so is your site free of these?
4. Non-essential pop-ups (such as advertisement, etc.) are annoying and are they absent from your site? Those imposed by your free server are allowed, as they are not under your control.
5. To evaluate your site is your site in English or have an full English version (computer translations will be considered)?
6. A quality site should be family safe for viewing. Is your site free of subjects such as nudity, vulgarity, racism, or hatred of any kind or links to such sites as this will end the evaluation?
7. Sites that contain only links and banners, are not real content and more is needed to qualify for an award. Does your site contain at least 5 (five) pages of content besides awards, questbooks, blogs, affiliates, message boards, etc? Content is defined as all kinds of informative, educational and original material.
8. When you apply for an award there should be a place to display them on your site, so do you have an awards section even if you have not won any yet?
9. The use of background music or sounds and do you have the option of an off-button. Also is your site free of any programs that attach the the mouse such as Comet Cursors is not courteous to the user?
10. I am sorry but awards cannot be given to applicants below 16 years of age as per C.O.P.P.A. Do you meet the age requirement?
11. Is your site checked that there are no INTERNAL dead links or graphics as you can control these so remember to check before you apply?
12. Is your site free of Coding and scripts that could make my computer crash or freeze and cannot be properly evaluated. Also a right-click disabling script should not be present as it does not protect anyone from stealing and i'm afraid either will result in ending the review of your site.
